Authority Builders outreach deliverables: scope, reporting, and refund questions

Disclosure: This article contains affiliate links. I may earn a commission if you buy through them. This is a researched guide, not a claim of hands-on testing.

Outreach deliverables should describe work and results you can verify. Before buying an Authority Builders campaign, separate agency activity, submitted content, accepted placements, and actual audience outcomes. They are not the same thing.

If you are evaluating the company, review Authority Builders through my affiliate link, then verify the exact placement terms and policy concerns explained below. I do not recommend buying unqualified links for ranking manipulation.

Define the campaign model

Is the campaign paid placement, earned media outreach, transparent sponsorship, or a mixture? Ask which party controls publication and whether placements are guaranteed. A flexible managed budget needs a written allocation process.

ABC Plus describes a changing mix of services with example deliverables. Do not turn an example into a contractual promise unless it appears in the accepted scope. Confirm approval rights for substitutions.

Activity deliverables

An agency can report research, prospect evaluation, drafts, pitches, and follow-up. Those activities show work performed but do not establish publication. Ask for enough detail to evaluate relevance without demanding disclosure of unrelated confidential relationships.

Set standards for outreach copy. It should accurately identify your business and contribution. Reject invented expertise, quotes, partnerships, clients, or results. A campaign should not create false claims in order to secure a response.

Content deliverables

Specify topic, audience, factual sources, ownership, review rounds, and who approves attributed statements. Ensure the destination page answers the promise made by the pitch.

For an affiliate site, do not submit a generic merchant description as an original contribution. A useful resource might explain a confusing billing term or provide a documented operation checklist. Label researched analysis honestly.

Placement deliverables

Require actual URLs, dates, publisher identity, format, link destination, commercial disclosure, and link attributes. Inspect the page rather than marking completion from a spreadsheet entry.

Google’s policy distinguishes qualified advertising from paid ranking links. I would not approve a deliverable whose value relies on concealed paid links passing ranking credit. The current guest-post marketing’s opposite position deserves explicit scrutiny.

Reporting deliverables

A monthly report should separate completed activities, live pages, unresolved items, and observed outcomes. Label estimates and data sources. Domain traffic estimates are not verified visits to your placement.

If reporting AI visibility, specify prompts, systems, dates, and methodology where available. A mention is not a conventional search click or a customer. Avoid combining unlike observations into one unsupported growth percentage.

Timing and dependencies

Identify who must approve copy, supply evidence, respond to publishers, and resolve factual questions. Delays can come from either side. A realistic schedule includes those dependencies rather than implying every external editorial action is controlled by the provider.

Request a clear procedure when a proposed publisher declines or a placement changes. Confirm whether substitutions, refunds, or credits apply. Record the accepted policy rather than relying on generic website assurances.

Quality and remedies

Define what counts as an unacceptable delivery: irrelevant publication, unsupported copy, wrong destination, missing agreed disclosure, or unavailable page. Specify the review period and correction process.

Third-party pages can disappear. Clarify the remedy and duration in the contract. A replacement guarantee should not be described as permanent audience exposure or a guaranteed search result.

Accept work deliberately

Use a simple acceptance record: agreed scope, evidence delivered, discrepancies, correction status, and final decision. Keep campaign data outside the provider’s account.

For a small site, approve only a proposal you can explain as useful to a relevant audience. If the provider’s deliverables are clear but the destination content is weak, improve the site before expanding promotion. Good procurement begins with a truthful objective and finishes with verifiable work.

Next step

Use the checklist above before accepting a proposal. You can review Authority Builders service details through my affiliate link, but decline a campaign whose value depends on concealed paid links passing ranking credit.
