My Story

I Left a Los Angeles Warehouse Job in 2013 to Build a Life on My Own Terms — Here's What Happened

Who I Am

Entrepreneur, Skateboarder, and Expat Living in Bali

I'm Trevor Fenner — founder of Ecommerce Paradise, operator of Electric Bikes Paradise, skateboarder, and digital nomad based in Bali, Indonesia. I've been building location-independent ecommerce businesses since 2013 and teaching others how to do the same ever since. My life looks nothing like what I imagined growing up in Los Angeles — and I mean that in the best possible way.

It started with a dead-end warehouse job and a decision I almost didn't make. In 2013 I discovered high-ticket dropshipping — selling premium products online without holding inventory — and went all in. I built my first store, then another, then learned Google Ads, found better suppliers, and eventually started selling the businesses I'd built. Along the way I realized the real value wasn't just in running stores — it was in the system I'd developed to build them. That's what became Ecommerce Paradise: a platform where I teach the exact model I used to escape the 9-to-5 and build a business I could run from anywhere in the world. Today I live in Bali with my partner Widi, skateboard whenever I can, run multiple online businesses, host the Ecommerce Paradise Podcast, and document expat life through our couples travel vlog Trevor and Widi. The freedom I built through ecommerce isn't just financial — it's the freedom to live somewhere beautiful, work on things I care about, and spend my time on my own terms.

How I Work

My Approach to Building Businesses That Actually Last

Start With the Right Model

Most people fail at ecommerce because they start with the wrong products and the wrong margins. I focus exclusively on high-ticket dropshipping — selling premium products priced $500 and up — because the economics actually work. One sale can generate real profit. That changes everything about how you build, market, and scale a store. Everything I teach and build starts from this foundation.

Build Systems, Not Just Stores

A store is a starting point. A business is a system. From supplier relationships and Google Ads structures to customer service workflows and SEO content — I build every piece with long-term sustainability in mind. That's why the businesses I've built have been sellable assets, not just side projects. It's the same approach I bring to every done-for-you store I build for clients and every piece of content I create through Ecommerce Paradise.
