Podbean pricing should be read alongside upload limits, channel count, bandwidth, and monetization charges. An annual monthly equivalent is not a month-to-month payment, and unlimited total storage does not necessarily mean unlimited monthly uploads.
If this operating setup fits your needs, check the current Podbean offer while you compare the requirements below.
Dated public rates
Checked October 5, 2026, the official page displayed US-dollar annual equivalents and monthly rates respectively: Unlimited Audio $12/$17; Unlimited Plus $29/$39; Network $79/$99; Business $99/$129. Verify the selected billing term and full annual charge in checkout, including any taxes or additions.
If the annual equivalent applies for twelve months, the base comparisons are $144, $348, $948, and $1,188 respectively. Treat those as arithmetic comparisons; the accepted checkout is the payment obligation. Do not assume an offer or renewal remains unchanged.
Understand upload and storage separately
The current cards listed monthly uploads of 1GB for Audio, 10GB for Plus, and 40GB for Network and Business. The cards describe unlimited total storage separately. Estimate your actual finished file sizes rather than using the plan name alone.
Video files can require different capacity from audio. Duration equivalents depend on encoding and should not replace file-size budgeting. Keep local or independent copies of your masters.
Channels and bandwidth
The current page describes Audio as one channel and Plus as two. Network and Business serve different multi-show and private-publishing needs. Confirm your intended arrangement, team permissions, and bandwidth scope.
A network with several public shows and a company distributing private internal content are different cases. Select the account around the actual requirement rather than simply buying the next price tier.
Monetization is not automatic income
Ads Marketplace requires current eligibility. Dynamic ad insertion has separate billing conditions; its guide says eligible non-Network accounts are billed by delivered impressions. Review those charges before including an advertising workflow in your budget.
A plan’s reference to monetization features does not guarantee advertiser demand or podcast revenue. Use a conservative operating budget that can support production without assumed ads.
Additional resources
Check AI credits, additional channels, specialized apps, commerce, and any required service beyond hosting. Included credits and the cost of extra use should be considered separately. Do not assume every marketed product is unlimited in the subscription.
Ask for an itemized quote when the account has multiple additions. Record billing periods and renewal behavior. A small recurring extra can matter over a full year.
Migration and commitment
The current migration guide says importing an existing show requires Unlimited Audio or higher. Include an overlap with the source host during verification. Do not cancel the original account immediately after the import screen reports success.
Annual billing commits more cash upfront. Compare it with a current monthly quote and the time needed to validate the workflow. Preserve the accepted terms and a review reminder.
Decision
Choose the smallest plan that supports file volume, channel count, publishing mode, and necessary team access. Upgrade when a documented constraint blocks the show you actually produce. Avoid buying higher capacity merely to support a speculative monetization forecast.
Next step
Check Podbean through my affiliate link against the requirements above before purchasing. Compare the current checkout and renewal terms, and keep a copy of the offer you accept.
Two workload examples
For a hypothetical weekly audio show, calculate the sum of four or five finished episode files, then add trailers, replacement files, and any bonus material. Compare that total with the monthly upload allowance. Do not count only recording duration: encoding determines the size of the file you actually publish.
For a two-show audio-and-video operation, verify both channel entitlement and upload capacity. More total storage does not create another channel. If additional channels are available as purchases, request their exact recurring price and confirm whether the combined arrangement is better than a different plan.
Before accepting an annual offer, document a normal month and a busy month. Include separate ad-insertion usage if you plan to run sponsor audio dynamically. This gives you a budget based on the show rather than a projected advertising payout.
