Research checked October 5, 2026. U.S. pricing unless stated otherwise; checkout, taxes, location and selected services can change the total.
US Global Mail and PostScan Mail can solve different versions of the remote-mail problem. US Global Mail’s current catalogue emphasizes workflow and team features. PostScan presents local-location plans and a detailed schedule of action charges. Compare the work, not an old headline price.
Current plans first
The US Global Mail pricing page currently uses Scale, Teams and Enterprise with billing-mode qualifications. The PostScan fee page advertises monthly Starter from $10 and Standard from $20, alongside annual versions and other products.
Those are not automatically comparable baskets. Record recipients, users, scans, physical storage and recurring add-ons. Confirm the final selected plan and billing term, especially when a page displays annual effective monthly amounts.
Do not use old consumer prices for US Global Mail if the current new-customer offer differs. Conversely, do not treat a PostScan locker fee as the price of a full scan-oriented plan.
Users and recipients
A recipient can receive mail; a user can access the account. US Global Mail distinguishes those categories. PostScan also lists recipient and user-related charges. Ask how permissions are managed for your selected plan.
A household may need several recipient names and one operator. A business may need staff access with limited authority. Avoid paying for unnecessary users or sharing unrestricted credentials to avoid a legitimate charge.
Scanning comparison
US Global Mail lists annual scan allowances and references fair-use rules. Confirm the counting and current retention terms. PostScan’s public schedule lists extra open-and-scan requests at $2 for up to ten pages, then $0.25 per extra page, subject to the selected plan.
Count documents and pages in your sample month. A bulky contract is a different workload from a one-page notice. The lowest base subscription can lose its advantage when your request pattern creates frequent extra actions.
Save important scans in a record system you control. Do not assume a mailbox account is a permanent archive without reading its digital-retention terms.
Storage and physical handling
US Global Mail’s storage guide directs users to their plan window. PostScan’s storage help and fee page distinguish letters, packages and billing terms.
Estimate retention days as well as incoming volume. Packages can create daily charges after a short free period. A regular review routine is part of controlling the cost.
If local pickup matters, confirm PostScan’s actual location hours and fees. If overseas forwarding matters, ask both providers for representative shipment quotes rather than assuming local convenience equals shipping value.
International shipment cost
PostScan’s published ordinary handling schedule describes a first-item charge and additional-item charges plus shipping. For US Global Mail, use its shipping help and selected-plan quote. Dimensions, carrier, destination and contents affect both.
Consolidation can reduce shipment count but create a larger dimensional-weight package. Check packed size, tracking and restrictions. Do not forward sensitive originals until you understand the complete handling sequence.
Automation and responsibility
US Global Mail advertises AI summaries and workflow rules. These may help sorting, but read the original scan before acting on legal or tax correspondence. Assign a human owner and backup for urgent items.
For either provider, define what an assistant may destroy or ship. A mail workflow should make responsibilities clearer, not turn important-document decisions into unattended defaults.
Eligibility and address limits
Follow USPS Form 1583 for U.S. commercial mail authorization and confirm each recipient. A mail address does not automatically prove residence or satisfy a bank’s physical-location requirement. Obtain specific acceptance where needed.
The decision
Shortlist US Global Mail when its current workflow features match recurring administrative needs. Shortlist PostScan when a suitable local center and its action-fee structure fit your mail. Compare identical scans, retention and shipments.
Review US Global Mail and review PostScan Mail using that workload. There is no documentary basis here for claiming a universal speed or quality winner.
