Research checked October 5, 2026. U.S. pricing unless stated otherwise; checkout, taxes, location and selected services can change the total.
The appeal of Bizee is easy to understand: its entry formation package advertises a $0 service fee plus state charges. That can make sense for a straightforward company. The mistake is reading the entry price as the cost of operating an LLC for the next several years.
A useful Bizee review needs to separate formation, registered-agent renewal, optional documents, and the work you still own after the filing. I would compare those four categories before choosing a package. A free preparation fee is valuable only when the order contains what you actually need.
What the published packages tell you
Bizee’s consumer order page lists one-time formation package amounts of $0, $199 and $299, before state fees. Its Premium package explanation describes filing assistance and additional setup services. Choose your state and entity in the order process to see the applicable offer rather than applying one generic total to every business.
The package fee is paid to the service provider. The state fee goes toward the government filing. Neither category necessarily includes later annual reports, state taxes, business licenses or specialized tax advice. Record them separately in your launch budget so the state bill does not look like a surprise service charge.
Package names and inclusions can change. The features shown in your final order summary should control your decision. If a marketing page says a benefit is included, but the checkout charges separately, stop and ask for clarification before purchasing.
The registered-agent price needs extra attention
Bizee’s public registered-agent service page currently shows a standalone price of $149 per year and a first-year offer associated with formation. Its consumer order page also describes an annual renewal. However, its Bizee Pro page, aimed at professional users, refers to a $119 price after year one.
Those are different offers. I would not use the Pro number as a promise about a regular consumer account. Verify your actual renewal rate, automatic billing date, and cancellation process in writing. This is especially useful when an older review repeats a price that no longer matches the route you are buying through.
An agent receives official correspondence and service of process for the entity. It does not replace a bookkeeper or guarantee that every legal obligation is satisfied. Decide who in your business will read the uploaded documents and respond. Notifications are useful only if they reach someone who can act.
When Basic is enough
The entry package is worth evaluating when you have already decided on the appropriate structure and state, understand the required filings, and are comfortable managing the remaining setup yourself. You are paying for a narrower filing task, so there should be no confusion about what happens afterward.
Before choosing it, make a missing-items list. Does your entity need an operating agreement tailored to multiple owners? Do you need EIN assistance? Who handles licenses? Is the advertised first agent year included in the exact order? Compare the cost of adding only necessary tasks with the next package.
Do not buy a more expensive tier because it sounds more complete. Buy it when identifiable services replace work you would otherwise pay to have done. If the only extra you value is a generic document template, a substantial package upgrade may be poor value.
When bundled help can be useful
A premium bundle can reduce the number of separate orders you manage during launch. That is useful when your schedule is tight and the included tasks genuinely match the business. It can also provide a starting document set and centralized filing records.
But an EIN application service, tax consultation and bank setup assistance are distinct deliverables. Ask what each produces. Is the tax session a general introduction or tailored advice for your ownership and locations? Does banking assistance mean access to a partner application rather than approval? What happens if the bank declines you?
The IRS EIN page says the government application is free. Paying Bizee to help with that task is a convenience purchase. It does not mean the IRS itself charges an EIN fee, and it does not change the requirement to submit accurate responsible-party information.
Non-U.S. founders should check the whole sequence
For an owner outside the United States, company formation is one step in a longer process. Confirm that Bizee supports your nationality, residence, identity documents and proposed business activity before paying. Ask about the EIN application path if you cannot use the IRS online process.
A state-approved entity does not establish immigration permission, banking eligibility, tax exemption or payment-processor acceptance. Each institution has separate requirements. Get those answers from the institution itself. A formation provider’s bank introduction should not be treated as guaranteed access to U.S. financial services.
Foreign-owned entities can have additional reporting and tax questions. Take those to an appropriately qualified adviser who can consider the actual ownership and activities. A low formation price does not make the future accounting work disappear.
After the company is formed
Download the accepted formation documents, keep the agent details, and create an account record that another authorized person can find. Separate government deadlines from service renewals. If you change contact details, update both the provider and the relevant agencies where required.
Check the rules that apply now instead of using an old compliance checklist. FinCEN’s current guidance states that U.S.-created companies are exempt from BOI reporting and treats foreign-created reporting companies differently. That is a good example of a widely repeated setup task that must be checked against current government information.
Finally, preserve a working registered agent if you switch providers. Ending an old subscription is not the same as updating the state’s records. Determine the replacement filing sequence first, then cancel in accordance with the old contract.
How I would compare Bizee with alternatives
Use a three-year worksheet rather than a headline-price contest. Compare the same state, entity, agent period and required documents across Bizee, Northwest Registered Agent and LegalZoom. Add recurring services only if you plan to keep them.
Do not infer turnaround quality from a stated filing estimate. A provider can prepare paperwork promptly while the state takes longer to accept it. Ask whether an expedited fee speeds preparation, state processing, or both, and whether it offers a guarantee.
My verdict
Bizee is a reasonable option for founders seeking a low initial service charge and a menu of additional setup help. Its entry offer is the main reason to investigate it. The decision gets stronger when you verify the exact agent renewal rate, understand the package omissions, and have a plan for ongoing obligations.
Check Bizee’s current package for your state, save the final summary, and buy only the assistance you need. If the legal or tax structure is uncertain, resolve that before submitting formation paperwork.
