Research checked October 5, 2026. U.S. pricing unless stated otherwise; checkout, taxes, location and selected services can change the total.
Northwest Registered Agent and Bizee both deserve consideration for a straightforward formation order, but their headline fees are only the first part of the comparison. The useful decision includes the agent period, required setup help and recurring services.
My starting rule: choose the appropriate structure and state first, then compare matching orders. A provider’s lowest service fee should not determine a legal or tax decision.
The dated public price comparison
| Item | Northwest | Bizee |
|---|---|---|
| Entry formation offer | $39 plus state fees | $0 plus state fees |
| Agent public annual price | $125 | $149 on consumer page |
| Government filing fees | Separate | Separate |
These figures come from Northwest’s formation offer, its agent page, and Bizee’s consumer order plus its agent page. Confirm your exact package, included agent duration and checkout terms.
Bizee’s separate professional-route page advertises a different agent rate. Do not apply that to a consumer order without eligibility confirmation. Likewise, a promotion through an affiliate route can differ from a public page; save the final written offer.
A three-year calculation
Using only the displayed entry service fees and assuming each selected formation includes the first agent year, two subsequent agent renewals would produce $289 for Northwest and $298 for Bizee before state fees and other services. This is a hypothetical arithmetic illustration, not a guaranteed quote.
The small difference shows why a $0-versus-$39 headline is not the whole story. Confirm inclusions, renewals and the services you actually need. State reports, taxes, licenses, EIN help and optional subscriptions can change the total materially.
Do not pay for an extra document twice because it appears in both a package and an add-on. Mark each required task once in the worksheet and identify who supplies it.
Compare privacy by form field
Northwest emphasizes permitted address use and privacy on public filings. Bizee also describes agent-address benefits. For both, inspect the state’s current form and ask which fields can use the provider’s address.
Using an agent address in one field does not remove every owner or office detail from public records. Later reports can disclose additional information. Get written address permissions rather than treating privacy as a blanket result.
A bank’s physical-address requirement is separate from a formation field. Neither agent relationship guarantees financial-account acceptance or establishes that you occupy the provider’s office.
Setup help and support scope
Northwest’s public bundle describes documents and business identity tools. Bizee offers tiered setup services. Compare useful deliverables, not the number of features in the list. An included website, consultation or template has value only if it fits your requirements.
If ownership terms are complicated, ask whether tailored legal advice is available and under what agreement. Filing assistance does not decide member rights, tax elections or foreign-ownership consequences.
This comparison does not test support response speed or filing accuracy. Ask each provider about preparation timing, state-processing assumptions, correction procedures and written commitments if those are decisive.
EIN and compliance extras
The IRS application carries no government EIN fee. A paid provider service handles convenience or assistance. Compare its deliverable with the application route you can use.
Check current requirements before buying mandatory-sounding extras. FinCEN currently exempts U.S.-created entities from BOI reporting and distinguishes foreign-created reporting companies. State and tax obligations remain separate.
When I would shortlist each
Northwest is a reasonable shortlist choice when you value its published ongoing agent price and permitted-address approach. Bizee is worth considering when keeping the initial preparation fee low is the priority and its selected package covers what you need.
Neither is an automatic winner for a complex business. Get legal or tax decisions resolved first, especially for multiple owners, regulated activities or cross-border issues. Then choose the administrative service that implements the decision clearly.
Before checkout
Confirm the same state and entity, service fee, state charge, first-year agent duration, renewal price, additional subscriptions and cancellation terms. Save the summary. Keep an independent calendar for deadlines and assign a person to read official mail.
Review Northwest’s current order and Bizee’s current order using that worksheet. The better choice is the understood scope and continuing cost that fits your business.
